Hallie turned 6 on Thursday this week. She had a full week of birthday fun. It started on Sunday with birthday dinner at Grandma & Grandpa Lewis' house. She got 3D sidewalk chalk, a bubble rocket, a bunch of coloring stuff, barbie clothes, and a cute sign for her room that says "dance, dance, dance." The boys made delicious homemade pizza and we had strawberry shortcake for dessert per Hallie's request. Then on Thursday it was her actual birthday she wanted pancakes with jam and sprinkles and a candle to blow out for breakfast. She also had a science experiment to do at school. We popped popcorn and talked about how molecules expand when they get hot. Then handed out birthday treats to her classmates. Then she wanted to go to McDonald's for a happy meal and to play on the playland. For dinner she wanted pizza again so we ordered out. How easy for me! On Friday night my parents took us to Union Grill as a thank you to Jake for framing and sheet rocking 3 walls in their basement. After dinner we went over and let the kids check out the trains. Those locomotives are SO much bigger up close! On Saturday Hallie got to have her very first "friend" birthday party. It was a Hannah Montana party. We played games, ate pizza again, and decorated ice cream cone cupcakes. She had a blast, but now I'm wondering if I'm up for this every year or not.
