Summertime!

We've been busy this summer. Jake's still taking classes and I'm still working a lot. We try to get out and have some fun. A couple of weeks ago Jake and I tried to hike to Lewis Peak. We made it most of the way there, but I was tiring out and we didn't have a lot of time left before we needed to pick the kids up so we headed back. Here's some pics of that hike.

It was an nice overcast/rainy July day to hike. With the wet spring we had there was actually lots of green and flowers even at the top of the peaks.

On the Fourth of July we went to the North Ogden Parade with our friends Heidi and Sophia, then had a party with our neighbors that night. The new fireworks laws made it lots of fun.

We got together with my best friend Tiffany. We've been friends for close to 20 years now! Grady was not shy at all. Him and Tiffany were best friends right away too.

My silly 3-year-old. Grady is getting so big and can now ride a bike with training wheels and pump himself on a swing!

Hallie had a cute tie thing put in her hair by a friend's older sister.

Then she got a TON of hair cut off. Her Aunt Jenny cut it SO cute! She said she thinned out SO much hair and it's still super thick! She also gave her two clip in extensions a blonde one and a black one to let her temporarily mix it up.

She looks so grown up, I love it!

This June we had a nest of baby birds in our tree out front. I got to watch the mom feed them worms and then about a week later we happened to be out there when 2 of the 3 babies flew away. They never came back. It was kind of a fun experience for the kids to see.
